Frequently Asked Questions

Google Ads

So far Google Ads is the most effective way to gather leads; thus, it’s the perfect way for small and medium businesses to grow or stay afloat in the low economy times. Especially because these types of businesses own small budgets and have to measure their marketing dollars’ ROI.

CPA (cost per acquisition) is the amount of money a business has to invest into closing a deal. ROAS stands for “return on ad spend”, and this metric shows what the return of advertising dollars is, or how much profit your ads investment brought back. CPA is part of the ROAS calculation formula.

So far there is no better alternative, as Google’s ads algorithm is constantly improved and covers 95% of the search traffic. Its also provides the touch-point with your segments on any “custom journey” stage, meaning you can deliver the message when your prospect just researching about a product or service, or when he/she is ready to purchase.

For professional products or services, a great option could be sending message via social media advertising platforms (such as META), since you can target your audiences by occupation; and in some cases it could be even more efficient than Google.

Google Ads performance could be holding back for many reasons, such as wrong targeting, low-efficiency ads, improperly set conversion goals, or too “loose” algorithm coverage. An experienced ads manager can identify these issues in a short account audit (yes, we do that; we do it for free).

For a properly set Google Merchant (Google Shopping) campaign, the ROI should be 200% minimum, meaning for 100 marketing dollars, at least $200 in sales should be brought back. However, it also depends on the product demand, competition, and season. A good product should easily have 700% ROAS from a properly done and managed shopping campaign on Google.

IDL Web has many satisfied paid ads customers who run with us for many years and, during these periods, have doubled and tripled their revenue, mostly because of great lead-gen flow from Google. However, we do not sign our clients to 6-month or annual contracts because we believe that quality service and positive ROI are the best keepers. We offer only month-to-month contracts, no long-term obligations.
