Frequently Asked Questions

Social Media Management

Combining manual profile management for higher brand awareness with paid ads for lead generation. Although social media marketing is very important, a company can’t solely build its marketing on it. SMM has to be integrated with other channels like SEM, public relations, trade shows, and more.

A content calendar is a preplanned and preapproved mapping of messages and posts published across corporate social media channels. It could include company news and PRs, promotions, interactive events for followers, and prescheduled shares. Once approved, it could be manually executed on a daily/weekly basis or uploaded into an automation software and scheduled to be published on preplanned dates.

Depending on the visuals creation capacity, number of managed platforms, and chosen strategy, hiring a social media manager (or handling it at an agency) could cost anywhere between $500 a month to $5000. It also depends on the hourly rate of the service provider, but in general, at least 8 monthly hours are required for a minimum of 4 monthly publications, including planning, creative production, editing, approval, and the actual publishing

It depends on the industry and follow-up involvement. For example, an entertainment company may do almost daily shares, and their followers would still react positively, since they constantly look for updates and event information. An equipment plant shouldn’t share updates more than 2 times a month, since its followers are based on its industrial niche, and they don’t anticipate seeing frequent updates about the same equipment type in their timelines.

Many advertisers fall into a trap of overusing social media messaging and posting too many updates, while their followers don’t really want to see repetitive information. This creates a “white noise” effect, followers tend to skip this company info, and in a worst case, will unfollow a hyper-active company to “clean up” their timeline.
